Ad Hoc: 24 Hour Global Sketchwalk in Seattle

USk Seattle invites USk Tacoma to participate in the
10th Anniversary  24hr Global Sketchwalk

Saturday, Nov. 11, 1 - 4 p.m.
King Street Station
303 S. Jackson, St., Seattle
(Meet just inside the entrance closest to the vehicle drop-off circle (under the clock tower).

It’s a global celebration of the 10th anniversary of Urban Sketchers! USk groups worldwide will be sketching on the same day, around the clock, on Saturday, Nov. 11, and sharing their experiences live on social media. Seattle has been given the time slot 2 – 2:30 p.m. for a “live” participation (more details on this segment will be announced later), so the outing time has been planned to begin at 1 p.m. King Street Station was chosen for its iconic building. Hopefully the weather will allow us to sketch it from outside, but if not, we have plenty to sketch indoors, too.

Even if you don't want to join up in Seattle,  you can still be part of the fun. Simply post using the event hashtag #USkGlobal24hrSketchwalk and follow this worldwide event on Instagram.   Scroll down for some additional information on the Urban Sketchers blog.

4:30-ish p.m.: The sketch outing will be followed immediately afterwards by an adjunct drink & draw at Elysian Fields Brew Pub, which is just a 5-minute walk from King Street Station (see map below)! Have a brew or two with a toast to USk, and be prepared to sketch and be sketched! 😉 (All ages welcome before 9 p.m.)

Elysian Fields Brew Pub
542 1st Avenue South, Seattle

Parking around King St Station can be a challenge.  One option would be to drive to the Angle Lake Light Rail station , take that to the International District station, and then walk a couple blocks to King St AmTrak Station.

Alternatively, take AmTrak, though it can experience delays. Double check this route and get tickets https://www.amtrak.com/home.html
