We sketched at the LeMay Collection at Marymount this morning. This was not the upscale, glittering LeMay America's Car Museum next to the Tacoma Dome. This is the home of the rest of the family collection and is rather more funky. I find it much more interesting.
As we gathered we had the opportunity to meet Mrs. LeMay! She was there to record a podcast with her grandson, Eric LeMay. That podcast is LeMayZing! and from the publishing schedule, I expect this episode to be available early April. Anyway, she's in a black hoodie in front, third from left.
Since I've sketched there at least twice before, I chose to sketch around the grounds. I made a montage over two pages. First was this crazy bird which stood taller than me. Then the old gas station signs. Finally a very old gasoline pump.
Signe and Loretta found a comfortable spot inside the museum to sketch.
