While so many sketchers are in Auckland, NZ for the Urban Sketchers International Symposium, Urban Sketchers Tacoma met for a "pity party" at Fort Nisqually. It was seven hardy sketchers who came together on a chilly day.
I wanted one last sketch of a cherry tree. This one stands in front of the Fort's newer structures: the smoke house and the root cellar.
I volunteered at the Fort for several years but I haven't been doing so for about 3 years now. I've sketched so many views before. I spotted this one as I waited for sketchers to arrive. It's outside the gate.
Thank you to the Fort volunteer who is also a professional photographer who took some of the best group photos!
