The store is clean, not stuffy or stale, with lots of retro 50’s stuff and rooms with different themes – tools, marine, kitchen. Restrooms are available and there are several options for lunch close by. It is located across from The Harvester Restaurant and has lots of parking available.
Directions -From the south on Hwy 16W
Exit to Olympic Dr (2nd exit after you cross the bridge)

Third Wednesday, April 18: Foss Waterway Seaport
705 Dock St, Tacoma, WA 98402
Meet at 10 am outside the front door to the Museum. Admission is $10.00 for Adults; $8.00 for Students, Military, and Seniors (62+). However, passes for free entry are available for sketchers.
Parking: There are a few spaces at the Museum. Otherwise, here is a map:

There are many interesting exhibits inside the Museum. The area also has a very good view of the seaport and if the weather is good there will be many sketching opportunities outside.
Note: USk Tacoma will be having a show at Foss this summer, during the Festival of Sale. All entries should have a maritime subject. This outing is a good opportunity to do some sketches for the show. Also, your free pass can be used anytime as long as you are there to sketch.
