It was another small group of intrepid sketchers who met at Tacoma Nature Center this morning. Last time the weather challenge was rain. Today it was heat! Fortunately, the Nature Center was mostly very deep shade which helped us stay relatively comfortable.
My first sketch was the area called Discovery Pond. There was a play area near a small stream.
I didn't feel like wandering the extensive trails. I stayed near the visitor's center and found this shelter made of branches in the areas called The School yard.
